Biography

Professor Dr. Mohd Nazil Salleh is a Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Internationalization) at PICOMS International University College. He also an Adjunct Professor at Mataram Polytechnic College, Mataram Indonesia. He was the first Malaysian academician and researcher credentialed as a Chartered Scientist by the Science Council from Institute Biomedical Science, UK in 2014 and Fellow members of Institute Biomedical Science, (IBMS) UK and Society of Biology, UK.

Prof Dr Nazil has a wide range of experience as an administrator and leadership duties as a top management of various universities and  Panel of Assessor for Malaysian Qualification Agency. He is also a Molecular Biology Experts Scientist of International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science. He has contributed tremendously to the development of the Health Sciences bridging program for Ministry of Health, Malaysia staff from Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology to Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science. He is currently advisor for Biomedical profession in the country. He has been involved in 23 years teaching experiences in the Biomedical Programme at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. In addition, he has been granted national and international research grants. He also involved in 22 years experiences in the training of researchers in the use of general Biomedical Sciences and molecular biological techniques as a research tool.

To date, he has authored and co-authored 40 scientific papers which were published and presented in local and international journals, seminars, workshops, symposiums and conferences. Prof. Dr. Mohd Nazil has also been invited as a plenary speaker locally and internationally. His unique relatively quiet demeanour, which can be deceiving, has become a trademark. He is always humble but when he speaks he does so with authority and facts, which are really based on his deep knowledge of Biomedical Sciences. He is a great role model of a researcher and will continue to be an inspiration to us.
