Faris Safwan Bin Ibrahim has been groomed in PUSRAWI International College of Medical Sciences as early 2012. He has been appointed as Director of Student Affairs and Alumni in July 2019. A graduate from Management and Science University (MSU) in Bachelor of Education (Honours) – TESL, he started building his career path in private higher education sector in PICOMS as a language lecturer at Faculty of General Studies and Foundation (formerly known as Centre of General Studies).
He has a broad range of experience in teaching and also administrative of university college, as in 2013 he has been given a mandate to developed and coordinated the credited co-curriculum modules under U4 component, that offered various subject such as Community Service, Bulan Sabit Merah and Pasukan Institusi Pertahanan Awam (PISPA).
Proven excellence in the development of strong rapport with students, colleagues and administrators, Faris Safwan has been responsible to lead numerous number of university main events such as PICOMS annual convocation ceremony. He also coordinated a mobile clinic and represented PICOMS in Kembara Dakwah Trans Asia (Thailand & Cambodia) in 2015 organised by MAIWP.
Besides, he also exhibits particular expertise in the creation and implementation of student development program and appropriate strategies with meaningful activities such as international students mobility and exchange (Lombok, Indonesia) and also numerous university outreach program such as PICOMS Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) Expedition in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2019.
Strong in managerial skills with a knack of recognising and encouraging individual growth, Faris also has been passionately involved with creative studio development and initiated university virtual orientation module in early 2020 as COVID-19 pandemic started. In April 2022, he was appointed by University Executive Members as acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) as a preparation for UCMI to become a full-fledged university by 2023.
